We are back and WWE Champion AJ Styles makes his way to the ring.

AJ says before he calls out John Cena, and he will, he says he has to get something off his chest. As the WWE Champion, he would not have to deal with things like this, but he wants to know what people think about the Royal Rumble poster. AJ says John Cena is in the front, but where is AJ Styles on the poster. We see AJ in the back of the graphic. AJ says Shane is really showing his champion some respect. On Monday morning . . . AJ tells John Cena to get out here right now.

John Cena comes out to the ring.

AJ says everyone has heard enough of Cena’s rah rah speeches. AJ says he has heard enough. Monday morning, he turns on the television and he sees John on the Today Show. What do I hear and see? We see footage.from his appearance where AJ is referred to as “Guy from Atlanta” by the co-hosts.

AJ says he is just a guy from Atlanta? AJ says he is the Phenomenal AJ Styles. He is the champ that runs the camp. He is the man who has been holding down Smackdown Live since you have been gone. AJ says nobody missed John. . . nobody. AJ tells John to look at him when he is talking to him. He didn’t just take John’s place. He is the face that replaced you.

He asks John if it gets to him. AJ says he is the man on Smackdown, not John. He knows it eats John up because John knows that AJ is the better man in it. AJ says he knows it because John always comes up with an excuse. AJ doesn’t play fair. He wasn’t ready to come back from his injury. AJ says he has an excuse for John. He says it is John. You are the only excuse left. You are a sorry excuse for a wrestler.

AJ says it is cute that John has a new shirt. AJ wants to know what does he have to do to get and earn respect around here? Maybe he will get respect when he beats John at the Royal Rumble. He has fought for everything in the WWE. He is not settling for an inch. He is taking a foot and putting it in your ass.

John says the champ is a little tense. He is complaining that he is not getting respect. He is complaining because the world does not know how phenomenal you are? John says he has come to this ring and thousands of people tell him that he sucks and you are the one complaining about the lack of respect. You say that John Cena gets handed everything. You are going to try as hard, but it won’t be your fault when you fail. You are talking about respect. You have been hot for six months, but John says he has been holding this place down for a decade.

You call him a bad wrestler because he did not toil on the indie scene? John says he wasn’t built for the indie scene. He was built for the WWE and the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania. John says AJ is not on his level or the level below him. John says he gets more done in a day than AJ has in his career.

John tells AJ to photoshop your photo over his face. John says he only cares about Sunday. John says AJ is not a guy from Atlanta, he is just a guy. He is a guy who is holding the title because John is letting him. John says you are just like everyone else who hates John but acts just like him. He says you are just a guy who will find out on Sunday that there is only John Cena and he says he is a bad bad man and his time is now. Cena tells AJ to recognize and drops the mic before walking out. AJ looks on as Cena turns on the stage.

We are in Memphis, Tennessee and your announcers are David Otunga, John Layfield, and Mauro Ranallo. Your host is Tom Phillips.

Shane McMahon makes his way to the ring Shane-O Shufflin’. Shane says in two weeks, the AlamoDome will host the Royal Rumble.  There will be 30 superstars in the match, including the Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, Goldberg, Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler, The Miz, Baron Corbin, and Dean Ambrose.  All will be competing to be the last man so he can main event Wrestlemania. Shane says the WWE title will be defended in the Elimination Chamber in 4 weeks.  Who will be the WWE Champion going into Wrestlemania?

AJ Styles’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring. AJ says that after he does what he does best at the Royal Rumble . . . BEAT JOHN CENA, Shane is going to make him defend his title in the Elimination Chamber. Shane says AJ will defend the title if he is still the champion.  Will it be around the waist of John Cena for Elimination Chamber? AJ says it will be over his dead body.  He says that is a hot head decision. Maybe you should consult with the champ before doing something so stupid.

Shane says he is running Smackdown.  The only person he consulted with is Daniel Bryan.  They want the best of the best to be in the Elimination Chamber and become the champion and go on the road to Wrestlemania. Shane says that AJ is one of the best.  What he has done in the ring over the last year has been phenomenal. Shane says the only thing that is not phenomenal is his attitude. AJ says that maybe he take the WWE Title and his attitude and go back to Japan.  AJ says he has never been in an Elimination Chamber match and now he is being forced to defend his title?

John Cena’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring.

AJ stops Cena from taking and tells him to shut up.  You don’t get to say nothing when your brother in law gifts you a title match.  AJ tells Shane two weeks after the Royal Rumble, he has him participating in an Elimination Chamber match.  AJ says the people do not respect him.  Why is Smackdown against him?  He is the champ.  AJ wants to know who is next to come out and try to steal his spotlight?

Miz’s music plays and he comes to the ring.

He tells AJ to consider his spotlight stolen.  Miz says the Elimination Chamber is a good story for his 2017. When he gets his rematch with Dean Ambrose, he will win back his Intercontinental Title.  Then he will either win the Royal Rumble or win the title in the Elimination Chamber and he will be where he belongs . . . in the main event of Wrestlemania.  He will leave Wrestlemania as a double champion. AJ wants to know if Miz is delusional.  He comes out and hides behind his wife.  He tells Miz to avoid him and the Elimination Chamber if he wants to have his movie career.

Miz tells AJ he should be careful with his BEAT JOHN CENA.  You were in Japan growing your hair, but Miz says he was beating John Cena before it became cool.  He says he has done more to build the Intercontinental Title than anyone.  When people talk about Smackdown, they are not talking about AJ Styles, they are talking about the most must see champion. John Cena decides to stir things up by saying that Miz thinks he is better than AJ Styles. AJ reminds Miz that the last time they were in Memphis, he broke his teeth.  Then he insults Miz and Maryse. Cena stirs it the other way and asks if Miz is going to let AJ say that about his wife.

The New Day talk about Cesaro and Sheamus on the same page.  Now they are starting to gel.  Kofi says they feel different since they became the longest reigning WWE Champions.  Big E says he feels a power flowing through his veins.  He is talking about history.  They may go down as the greatest . . . and most elite team of all time.

AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson show up.  AJ says they have a nice run as tag team champions, but the WWE Title stands for greatness.  Luke says they are not like you three nerds.  They are about being mean and making green.  Karl says they have done it all over the world.  AJ says they have done it with the Phenomenal One.  He says the discussion starts and ends with the Club.

We see The Shield on the other side of The New Day.

Seth asks if they heard that they are the greatest team of all time.  Dean asks if they believe that and Roman says nah.

Backstage Segment

Dean Ambrose is watching the monitor, and AJ Styles walks in and tells him that if everyone just follows him, they’ll get a win.  Dean says he knows AJ is just going to slam a metal chair into his back, but in two weeks at TLC, his fantasies become AJ’s nightmare.  Shane McMahon comes in and says they can settle this in two weeks, but they need a win tonight and he needs everyone on the same page.

Men’s Elimination Match: Team Raw (Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Braun Strowman) vs Team Smackdown (AJ Styles, Dean Ambrose, Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton, and Shane McMahon)

The champions start off, and they go at it until all the other partners get in, and Rollins and Reigns start to team up against Team Smackdown.  Shane tags in and cleans house, then AJ and Ambrose wind up working together to clear out the ring…but then they turn their attention on each other and start brawling.  Shane McMahon tries to separate them, AJ nails Ambrose from behind, and Strowman comes in and hits a running powerslam to eliminate Ambrose.

Dean Ambrose has been eliminated.

Strowman drags Shane into the ring, and Shane unloads with a flurry of pounches, but Strowman is too big and crushes Shane with a splash in the corner.  AJ tries for a Phenomenal forearm, but Strowman knocks him to the floor, then flattens Orton when he tries to come in.  Bray Wyatt is in and goes face to face with Strowman, and Wyatt tells Strowman to attack Team Raw, and he goozles Jericho, then lets him go and clotheslines Wyatt’s had off.  Strowman knocks Wyatt to the floor with a diving dropkick.  Strowman goes after Wyatt and rams him into the ring apron.  Orton gives Strowman an RKO into the announce table, then helps Wyatt up and they put Strowman on the table and Shane comes off the top rope with an elbowdrop to Strowman that sends them both through the table.  The brawl continues on the floor, and AJ Styles dumps Shane back into the ring, but James Ellsworth holds Strowman’s foot from under the ring to prevent him from getting back in, and Strowman gets counted out.

Braun Strowman is eliminated.

Strowman beats Ellsworth up to the top of the ramp and tosses him off the stage into some production equipment before walking to the back.  Owens is in the ring and working Shane over, does the Shane dance, and covers for 2.  Jericho tags in and dropkicks Shane for 2, he goes for a Lionsault, but Shane gets the knees up and gets a small package on Jericho for 2.  Jericho hits a Codebreaker on Shane, another on Randy Orton, and he covers Shane for 2.  Rollins tags in and puts the boots to Shane, then Jericho tags in and comes off the top with a splash that misses, and Shane tags Styles in.  Styles goes to work on Jericho and hits an over the knee neckbreaker for 2.  Jericho blocks the Styles Clash and goes for the Walls of Jericho, Styles breaks free and gets the Calf Crusher, and Jericho rams AJ’s head into the mat and goes for the Walls again, Styles reverses to a small package, Styles unlaods with a series of strikes, nails Owens on the apron, goes for the Styles Clash, but Owens comes in and nails styles with Jericho’s list and hits him with Jericho’s list.  He gives styles the pop-up powerbomb as the referee calls for the DQ.

Kevin Owens is eliminated.

We’re down to 4-on-3, and Jericho is feverishly trying to put his list back together as Styles tags Orton, who comes in and hits Jericho with the RKO for 3.

Chris Jericho is eliminated.

We’re down to Reigns and Rollins against almost the entire Smackdown team.  Reigns looks at Rollins and says “let’s do this”, and Rollins goes after Orton, but eats a snap powerslam for 2.  Wyatt tags in and unloads on Rollins, and Rollins os caught in the wrong part of town.  Orton superplexes Rollins, and both men make tags and in comes Reigns and Styles, and Reigns is dominant.  Reigns hits a splash mountain for 2, but he comes in for the Superman Punch and Styles hits a Pelle kick.  Shane tags in and opens up on Reigns, and hits a floatover DDT.  Shane dodges a double stomp from Rollins, gives him a spinebuster, then rams Reigns into the ringpost.  Shane goes to the top rope and goes for a Van Terminator, but Reigns hits him with a spear on the way down.  He makes a cover and Shane gets his shoulder up at 2.  The referee checks on Shane and appears to injury default him out.

Shane McMahon is eliminated.

Okay good, Shane couldn’t even do a clean loss after taking that.  Wonderful.  Wyatt hits Reigns with a senton for 2, and now Reigns is the one caught in the wrong corner.  Reigns breaks free and tags Rollins in, and he goes to work on Styles and hits a Blockbuster.  Styles backdrops Rollins to the apron, but Rollins hits an enziguiri and a springboard forearm, then he takes Wyatt out with a dive to the floor, a series of corner charges on AJ, and he goes to the top on AJ, but AJ slips out, nails Rollins and goes to the top, but Rollins hits him with a Pelle kick of his own.  Rollins superplexes Styles, picks him up and goes into a falcon arrow, and Orton breaks it up at 2.  Rollins dumps Orton to the floor, but goes for a dive and Orton nails him.  Reigns saves Rollins from a DDT on the floor, and the former Shield members put the boots to Orton on the floor.  Rollins slaps Reigns on the back, they clear off the announce table, but Styles comes in before they can go for the Shield powerbomb.  Ambrose runs back into the ring and attacks AJ Styles, and a slew of referees try to eject Ambrose, but he goes back after Styles and rams him into the ring steps.  Security finally gets Ambrose out of there, but Reigns and Rollins go after security and let Ambrose free.  Against all odds, the former Shield is working together to fight off security, then they give AJ the triple powerbomb through the announce table.  Rollins dumps Styles back into the ring and covers him for the win.

AJ Styles has been eliminated.

BIG elimination there, and now we’re even with Reigns and Rollins against Orton and Wyatt.  Luke Harper suddenly comes out of nowhere, and he distracts the Shield wihle Wyatt and Orton sneak attack them.  Orton and Reigns go at it on the floor while Wyatt and Rollins fight in the ring.  Harper rams Reigns into the post while Rollins hits a slingblade on Wyatt, then takes Harper out with a dive.  Rollins hits Orton with an enziguiri, superkicks Wyatt, but comes off the top rope right into an RKO from Orton, and Wyatt covers Rollins for 3.

Seth Rollins is eliminated.

Roman is by himself now against Orton and Wyatt, with Harper on the floor.  Reigns Superman punces Orton off the apron and takes Wyatt out to the floor, and he fights both men off and rams Wyatt into the barricade, then hits him with a drive-by.  Reigns spears Harper, comes back into the ring, blocks Sister Abigail, hits Wyatt with a Superman punch, and sets for the spear.  Orton shoves Wyatt out of the way and eats the spear, and Wyatt quickly hits Sister Abigail and covers for 3.

Winners: Team Smackdown

Survivors: Bray Wyatt & Randy Orton
